The Providence Center School is licensed by The Rhode Island Department of Education as a nonpublic school for students with mild, moderate and severe emotional and behavioral disorders. The school serves students from preschool through high school (ages 3 to 21). Classrooms are staffed and supported by an interdisciplinary team of professionals who work with referring districts to identify transition opportunities for students. These opportunities may include returning students to their community schools, enrolling them in less restrictive programs,
and helping them to graduate from high school or obtain meaningful employment.
